Project works notice: From our friends at Fulton Hogan, contractors for the NZTA’s Te Atatu interchange works.

FH knows people cycling this route need safe and unobstructed access at all times. They’re on the ball and helpful, so give them a wave as you pass.

“On Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 July we are planning to remove 40m of concrete barriers which currently run behind the cycle path near the Whau River Bridge – and replacing them with 1.8m temporary fencing.

Here’s the area we’ll be working in.

These works will not interrupt the cycle path, but rather give us a little bit more room removing some old retaining wall posts behind the concrete barriers.

We will have a spotter on site when the barriers are removed to ensure cyclists are looked after.
