A quick update on some overnight work along the NW cycleway this week (August 3-7), from our new communications friend Barbara Ware at the Causeway Alliance. Keep an eye out if you’re a night owl or a really early bird!
The Causeway Alliance will be doing some work around the cycleway under the Rosebank Road exit during night shifts (between 8pm and 5am) from Monday 3 August. This work is weather dependent.
The cycleway will remain open throughout and there will be a spotter at each end of the work area to ensure approaching cyclists are aware of the work and navigate safety through. The work area will be well lit and the team anticipate it will take about 4 to 5 nights to complete.
Also, watch this space for details about a detour at Patiki Rd while the new bike underpass is constructed. Work isn’t set to begin till at least the end of August, but we’ll have full details when it does.
