Easter Saturday in the Park – Chamberlain Park opens up

Bike Auckland

1 min read

You already know about Bike to Jurassic Park on Good Friday. Here’s the other half of the fun on Easter Saturday. It’s a wonderful chance to peek inside a green space that’s usually only available to golfers, and find out about the Local Board’s plans, and what they’ll mean for people on bikes – as well as some upcoming improvements in the area.

Here’s the details for Saturday 26th March:

  • Gates will be open from 9 a.m.
  • Parking available at Unitec and behind the Pt Chevalier shops, but the best way to arrive is by bike!
  • There’s secure valet bike parking, and free bike checks by a bike mechanic. We’ll be there with bells and other giveaways, and lots of info about upcoming projects in the area.
  • We’re told there will be even more and better food trucks on site than the previous night!

The day features three fun events:

  • 10-12 Kids in the Park – Easter Egg hunt, egg decorating, egg and spoon races, etc.
  • 12-2 Music in the Park – a concert from the talented Aotea Youth Symphony
  • 2–5 Bark in the Park – dog day afternoon! Dogs may be off-leash during this time (but not at other times)

Looking forward to seeing you there! For more info, check out the event page.
