More info:
On our guided bike ride we will meet the most significant trees in Avondale – but don’t take our word for it, they’re listed on the current ‘Scheduled Trees of Avondale’ list.
We’ll bike to each site and hear from these awesome locals:
* Hanna Luijpers – Expert arborist
* Jenny Pullar – Landscape & Garden Designer (and scheduler of many of these trees)
* Lisa Truttman – Historian
We’ll learn about each special tree and/or stand, and why it’s been given the only legislated, albeit fragile, protection afforded trees at this point in time – the Schedule 10, Notable Tree Schedule, AUP.
