Creative Coffee & Crochet Circle – Morningside

A rainbow ball of yarn with a crochet hook stuck through it and the words "yarn for pride". Under this is text which reads "Celebrate bike and pride month with us: knit or crochet a scarf to decorate the bike parking along Karangahape road!" There is an image of a rainbow scarf marked with the measurements 14cm by 260cm.

Bring your crochet, bring your knitting (or any another creative project), bring yourself – let’s have a coffee at Tuffo Espresso!

You can make decorations for the bike parking on Karangahape rd, ready to be used for Pride Month’s yarn bombing (February; Yarn for Pride), you can focus on your own projects, or you can simply come to chat!

If you’d like to learn crochet, we can teach you. There will be spare yarn and crochet hooks available courtesy of Creative Communities Scheme Funding. Beginners are welcome.

After coffee, if people want to, we could go for a group ride to Wynyard Quarter to explore the many activities available as part of the ‘Your Big Backyard’ event
