A Waiheke wine tour, for the gals – Saturday 8 August

1 min read

Here’s one for the ladies, especially those who are new to the idea of bike touring and are looking for something friendly, not too hard, and a little glamorous…

The road to the vineyards. Take your time!
The road to the vineyards. Take your time!

A jaunt around our favourite bikeable island, brought to you by the LadyGang and Frocks on Bikes. You can BYO bike on the ferry, or pick up one in Oneroa (where our friends at eCycles are offering special one-day electric bike rentals, just for this ride, for $45).

Dress for comfort AND style – the nice thing about a Frocks on Bikes ride is you don’t have to choose. Your hosts and guides are lady bike advocate Jess and Soph, a Waiheke gal who’s home again after a long time biking round the two-wheeled capitals of Europe.

Details are up on Facebook, but here’s the gist…

Saturday 8 August (rain date is Sunday)

Meet at the Fullers Ferry, Downtown Ferry Building, at noon; officially returning on the 6pm ferry. But we wouldn’t be at all surprised if you decide to just stay and embrace island life forever.

Your hosts for the ride: Jessica & Sophie. They’ll probably be a bit frockier on the day 🙂
