July, being the middle of winter, had its share of damp and windy weather – but it also brought us a brand new cycleway on Quay Street and brought the big walking and cycling conference to town which coincided with our regular Bike Breakfast.
So our July Bike Breakfast welcomed around 36 people, including regulars, conference attendees and newcomers, to our temporary digs at Esquires Metropolis. Thanks are due to Auckland Transport who sponsored hot drinks and food for attendees, as well as to Zane for bringing along the bike racks again, which were full to overflowing.
Having moved to cope with the crowds, we’re back to our regular hangout at Scarecrow Kitchen this month. Come along from 7:30am this Thursday 4 August to meet other bike-friendly folk, get the latest goss on cycling infrastructure and plans, and enjoy really good coffee and a great start to the day.
