Diversion on the NW Cycleway – Chamberlain Park

1 min read

An alert for those using the NW Cycleway over the next few months: watch out for the new diversion along the Pt Chevalier end of Chamberlain Park.

The diversion will be in place until early July, while drainage works are completed and a new pedestrian bridge is constructed over Meola Creek (inside the golf course).

There will be stop-go management for construction vehicles crossing the bike path.

Here’s the location and details:

NW diversion Chamberlain Park March

Note: for those of us heading west, the new angle of approach for the creek bridge might not be ideal. As always “drive to the conditions” – i.e. slow down and keep an eye out for people on bikes and on foot coming the other way! Especially as the evenings become darker earlier.

Above all, let us know how the diversion is working for you, and whether any extra signage or consideration would be useful, so we can have a word with our contacts at the SH16 St Lukes project. Thanks for your patience while the construction takes place – won’t it be great when it’s a smooth shot all the way to town and back!
