Hey, this is nice: AT is running pit stops along major bike-commute routes, to offer a bit of warmth as we roll into autumn and put the “community” into commuting. A good chance to cross paths with your local bike burbs, as well!
We will have a hot drink for you, the NZ Transport Agency Share The Road photo booth, a bike mechanic, resources and the AT Ambusador.
Come get your photo taken, catch up with friends and others who share your route.
The pitstops are at the following places and dates, from 4.30 – 7.30pm.
NW Cycleway by Unitec – Tuesday 31 May
Mangere Bridge – Wednesday 1 June
Devonport Wharf – Thursday 2 June
Speaking of community, this is a good time to note the great work Metro magazine is doing alongside NZTA’s Share the Road photo booth to tell stories of Aucklanders on bikes. All the more important to look out for each other, with cycling numbers on the rise and staying high through the usually quiet cooler months. Check it out.
