We are delighted to let you know that our upcoming Bike Champions Forum in Birkenhead will focus on a subject dear to the heart of those on the Shore, and many of us across Tāmaki Makaurau – Liberating the Lane on the Auckland Harbour Bridge.
Converting one lane for walking and cycling is the fastest, fairest, most affordable way to bridge the gap between the North Shore and the rest of the city. It’s also the smartest way to get full value out of this vital link in our national transport system. Liberating the Lane is feasible – and we have evidence to prove it. It’s time. It’s beyond time!
At the Bike Champions Forum you will get to hear what we have been up to behind the scenes, how liberating the lane can be done and why it matters. We’ll host a panel of speakers to answer your questions and share ideas. More details on panelists to follow.
