Bike Rave feat. King Kapisi: Southern Bike Path Edition

June 5, 2021 @ 3:00 pm - 6:45 pm

$5

Join us for the most fun you can have on two wheels – a bike rave featuring the one and only King Kapisi!
We’ll be dressing up in our wildest costumes, strapping soundsystems to our bikes, and taking a sunset cruise along the flash new Southern Bike Path, ending up at a silent disco rave in a tennis court, where King Kapisi will get the party started with a mash-up of dance music, MC’ing and hip hop.
The party starts with a full noise 40 minute ride on the brand spanking Southern Bike Path, with a short section of suburban road riding just before we roll into the rave.
Here we’ll park up at the tennis courts where the team at Bike Auckland will treat us to valet bike parking while we party.
Bike Rave is alcohol free and designed for the whole whānau, there’ll be complimentary fruit and Club Mate to power us through the rave.
Presented by Bike Auckland, Auckland Transport and Interesting Things, the Southern Bike Path Bike Rave helps to get our community out and about and enjoying the new Southern Bike Path.

Rave times look like this:
3:00pm: Registration at the start location: cnr. Te Napi Drive & Great South Road, Waiata Shores
3:45pm: Safety briefing
4:00pm: Rolling rave leaves Waiata Shores, cruises down the Southern Bike Path
4:45pm: Party arrives at the Brylee Drive tennis courts, party with King Kapisi
6:30pm: Rave finishes, ride departs for Waiata Shores
6:45pm: Ride arrives back at start location, cnr. Te Napi Drive & Great South Road, Waiata Shores

We’ve postponed to our rain date of Saturday 5th June. Tickets are valid for the rain date.
Tickets are just $10 for adults, and $5 for kids (+ booking fee). By partying with us at Bike Rave, you are supporting Bike Auckland, the non-profit organisation working for a better city for people on bikes.
