Cycle Babes free-to-access sessions provide people with hands-on cycle skills, confidence and leadership abilities in a relaxed group setting. Skills we cover can include puncture repair, tyre inflation, safety checks, riding confidence, route planning, cycle touring advice, and general tips and tricks. This March 2023 we are hosting a series of eight events at Tumeke in Sandringham thanks to support by the Auckland Transport Community Bike Fund.
Cycle Babes is all about learning from your peers, making new friends, recognising each other’s skills and sharing knowledge in a community group setting. So you can gain confidence in your abilities, learning by your own hand through the support of the group. We are trans and queer inclusive and warmly welcome women and non-binary people of all ages and backgrounds to our events.
Alongside our skills based workshops we are hosting a group bike ride, an inspiration and guidance evening and a film night! One of our workshops is specially created to be family friendly. Take a look at the line up below and register your place on Eventbrite:
