Varied Loop of East Auckland

Hello, This is ride 1 of 4 as part of the Auckland Transport Bike Month series where new members get a free coffee!
Something a little different and mysterious even.
During the first lock down I developed and expanded on a mixed terrain loop of East/South Auckland which joins as many green spaces as I could.
The route is complicated and has concrete and gravel paths/roads, a short dirt (or mud😱) section and a few steep climbs. The odd bit of main road too unfortunately..
We will sneak through Highbrook and skirt around Ōtara, roll along Barry Curtis Park then climb up Point View Reserve!
Mountain bikes (hard tail is perfect) or gravel bikes only, NOT road bikes!
It will be an easy pace with plenty of stops so nobody gets lost, BUT you must be fit and fast enough so that you don’t lose sight of the rider ahead! I will be near the front and hope to have a tail end charlie.
