Glenfield Road works done, with cycle lanes

1 min read

For our Shore cyclists, the good news is that the roadworks on Glenfield Road are pretty much finished, and another 1 km (each direction) of cycle lanes have been added as part of the works. Coming up in the following years – projects for the connecting piece of Albany Highway (Sunset Road to Upper Harbour Highway), and Copenhagen Lanes for Albany Highway.

Our North Shore committee member reports that some road markings related to the Glenfield Road cycle lanes were not quite finished when he last saw them (though they may be done now), and that there is still the occasional driver parking in the cycle lane. We will keep an eye out on this, and chase if required. But how is the new facility working for you?
